Welcome to the official home of Carolina Hayride! Carolina Hayride was formed in 2008 when a few friends got together to play bluegrass and liked the music they produced. The band uses acoustic instruments and crowds around old-style condenser microphones to get an authentic sound, and features fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and bass, together with harmony vocals in the "high lonesome" bluegrass tradition. We combine classically trained instrumentalists with veteran stage musicians that have played all types of music. These varied influences add depth to the music and come through in energetic live performances. Carolina Hayride plays songs from classic bluegrass performers like Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, Ricky Skaggs, and the Stanley Brothers along with songs by more well known bands (Queen, Willie Nelson, Old Crow Medicine Show) played bluegrass style.
